Inspiring Young Leaders (IYL) is the brainchild of Faizan Syed, a seasoned civil rights advocate with over a decade of experience as the Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Grounded in his passion for empowering youth and his commitment to justice, IYL was created to equip Muslim students with the tools to lead with purpose, confidence, and faith.
Vision
We envision a future where Muslim youth lead with courage and conviction—reviving prophetic leadership, standing against injustice and Islamophobia, and uplifting their communities with faith, knowledge, and service.
Mission
To develop confident, principled Muslim leaders rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. We equip high school and college students with the skills, training, and mentorship needed to speak truth, defend their faith, and lead with integrity in every sphere of society.
